Construction and rail recruitment specialist One Way, which has an office just outside Cardiff, has signed a sponsorship deal with Ferndale RFC which will see the club sporting a brand new kit as well as being able to fund the upskill of coaches and develop their youth team.
“We’re really grateful to One Way”, said Alun Clements, Club Secretary of Ferndale. Rugby is a big part of the community here – we play in Welsh Division 3 so the standard is pretty decent. The money will come in really useful as we develop the younger generation of players and obviously it is great being able to fund a new kit and further develop our coaching resource.”
Commenting on the sponsorship, Gavin Derrick, Senior Recruiter at One Way in Cardiff said:
“It’s important for us to give something back to the community – and as rugby is such a big part of life in South Wales, it seemed like a great idea to support a local team. It is one of the oldest rugby clubs in the world with a long tradition and history. It’s also great that the team invests in grass roots rugby, and works with local schools – that’s a great initiative to be part of. There’s always lots of sponsorship for the big clubs but it’s also important for the smaller clubs to get a look in.”
“Quite a lot of our candidate community go the games so it’s great to be able to touch base with them in a more informal setting – as well as cheering on Ferndale of course.”
