Cardiff City centre based MotoNovo Finance have awarded seven of its employees a staggering £20,000 cash as part of its latest initiative, CREOVATE.
CREOVATE is the company’s internal rewards programme which gathers ideas from the staff that can be used to allow the business to work more effectively and efficiently.
As well as awarding £20,000 for the most innovative business-wide idea, prizes of £1,000 were offered to smaller teams which addressed more specific categories including Cost Saving and Customer Service.
A team of seven Account Managers from the East Region motor finance team beat off tough competition to land the cash prize.
Two members of the winning team were then selected to represent MotoNovo Finance at the WesBank CREOVATE Winners’ Banquet, which saw the winners from MotoNovo’s parent company FirstRand gathered in South Africa for the annual banquet to celebrate the best ideas.
Winning team member Janine Baxter, Account Manager, said:
“As a team we felt amazing to win the competition and very proud. It’s so empowering; a really proud moment in my life and in my career with MotoNovo. I’m excited to spend my share of the prize money on a skiing holiday in January!”

The winning team secured first place with their idea of implementing key enhancements to the MotoNovo app, MyMotoNovo. The seven-strong team suggested changes to the app that would create a dynamic, better functioning tool that would allow consumers to use it daily, and would provide access to a number of MotoNovo services including findandfundmycar.com.
Other services which the app would offer included free credit advice and incorporating discount shopping features which would assist the customer in saving more money.
The CREOVATE scheme is part of a host of initiatives offered by MotoNovo to build and maintain a strong working culture within a company that is experiencing rapid growth.
