A leading intellectual property firm has announced its charity partner.
Wynne-Jones IP, which is located in the Capital building in Cardiff, has pledged to support Tenovus Cancer Care.
In order to raise funds, several staff at the firm ran the Cardiff half marathon in aid of Tenovus Cancer Care, dressed up for Halloween and will be taking part in a sponsored swim later this year.
The law firm which specialises in patents, trade marks and designs, will also be hosting a pub quiz early next year at the Wharf pub on Schooner Way.
A charity auction and raffle will also be taking place at the pub quiz.
Tenovus Cancer Care brings practical advice, emotional support and treatment where it matters most; the heart of the community. The charity helps cancer patients and their loved ones cope, and through its vital research, it offers hope.
Wynne-Jones IP is a keen supporter of charities with its Cheltenham office also sponsoring Parkinson’s UK.
Michelle Ward, trade mark attorney at Wynne-Jones IP, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to partner with Tenovus Cancer Care.
“There are so many worthy charities to support, however, most people today have, unfortunately, been affected by cancer in some way, which is why we chose to support Tenovus Cancer Care.
“The charity helps so many families who are affected by cancer and it is important that we contribute to help them continue their vital work.
“We’d like to thank our staff, who have already started thinking new ways of fundraising. We’re looking forward to the pub quiz next year and hope we get a great turnout!”
Alex Smith, community fundraiser at Tenovus Cancer Care, said:
“We’d like to thank all the team at Wynne-Jones for pledging to support us as the company’s charity partner.
“We really do rely on the generosity of local businesses to ensure we continue delivering care for people affected by cancer.
“We’re excited to work with Wynne-Jones IP and are looking forward to developing more fun fundraising activities in the future!”
