Staff at a housebuilder in Cardiff have helped to raise over £1,000 pounds for a national cancer charity.

Bellway Wales, which has its regional office in St Mellons, donated £1,100 to Cancer Research UK.

The housebuilder’s staff raised the money through a series of events including holding an Easter raffle and taking part in a one-off pub quiz night.

Billie Oaten, Sales Director for Bellway Wales, said:

“I am really proud of the team at Bellway Wales for coming together to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Everyone who took part in our raffle and quiz night had a great time and really helped made the events successful.

“The division has been fundraising for Cancer Research for nearly three years now, and we are looking forward to continuing to support this fantastic cause.”

Laura Rankin, from Cancer Research UK, said:

“Cancer Research runs solely on donations, so we are extremely grateful for Bellway’s generous support.”

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research and is entirely funded by the public.

The charity was announced as Bellway’s nominated charity in 2016 and since then staff across the country have helped to raise £1 million for the cause.

Bellway Wales is building new homes across South Wales and Gloucestershire. More information can be found at bellway.co.uk
