The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew welcomes Café Lola on Thursday, June 27.

The audience will travel on a journey through time and across the world with the wildly entertaining Cafe Lola.  Slipping effortlessly through French Chanson, Klezmer, Gypsy Jazz and Cabaret to the 1920s and ‘30’s collaborations of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht.

A humorous delivery is guaranteed, accompanied by swift changes in dress, capturing the audience between melancholia and hilarious laughter.

Also included is a light supper of roasted garlic soup, red pepper rouille and baguette croutons.

“I am so excited to experience Café Lola”, said ALMoS administrator, Anne-Marie Pope, “I’ve heard so much about them and I expect it to be a wildly entertaining evening.”

Café Lola will play at 8.15pm, shortly after doors open at 8pm.  Tickets are £12.50 in advance, £15 on the door, with reductions for under 16s and free for under 10s (where they do not require a seat).

Advance tickets can be bought from the Andrew Logan website (http://andrew-logan.myshopify.com/collections/tickets-for-events), or in person at either the museum, at The Lion Hotel, Berriew or at R. H. Bunners, Arthur Street, Montgomery.

The museum, which opened in 1991 and celebrated an auspicious 25 year silver anniversary in 2016, is open 12pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout June, July, August and September and by arrangement.  Usual entry to the Museum is only £3 (concessions £1.50) and families £8.
