Thursday 5 May will see the launch of the most prestigious business awards in Bridgend County Borough, when BBC TV presenter, Sian Lloyd joins members of the local business community at the Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel, Coychurch, to officially launch the Bridgend Business Forum Awards 2016.

Organised by Bridgend Business Forum and supported by Bridgend County Borough Council, these awards have become a much anticipated event which gives local businesses a chance to demonstrate excellence in their fields.

Ian Jessopp, Chair of Bridgend Business Forum said:

“This is the fourth year the forum has organised this competition, and celebrating excellence remains at the heart of the Bridgend Business Forum Awards.

The awards have gained a reputation as the most sought-after accolade in the Bridgend business community.

“Business owners and managers have to work hard to keep ahead of the competition, and the peer to peer endorsement that comes from winning one of these awards really can make the difference when it comes to securing new customers and winning new business.

“We strongly urge organisations of any size and stature to get involved in this year’s awards, either by submitting an application or sponsoring a category – many past winners and supporters have acknowledged the results as enormously beneficial.

“We are also thrilled to welcome ROCKWOOL UK Ltd on board as this year’s main sponsor, having themselves been a past winner of these awards.“

Ólöf Jónsdóttir, Head of Public Affairs at ROCKWOOL UK Ltd said:

“ROCKWOOL UK is proud to sponsor this year’s Bridgend Business Forum Awards, which are a fantastic celebration of the inspiring individuals and businesses in our local community. We would like to wish all entrants the best of luck and look forward to meeting the winners at the ceremony in September.”

The 2016 award sponsors include, ROCKWOOL UK Ltd, Berry Smith Lawyers, Finance Wales, Graham Paul Chartered Accountants and Handelsbanken.

Council Leader Mel Nott OBE added:

“Business is the backbone to the local economy and we are committed to supporting our local enterprises in whatever way we can. There are many excellent small businesses across the county borough and it was wonderful to see so many represented and celebrated at last year’s awards.”

A full list of categories and details of how to enter will be available at the launch event, along with details of the remaining sponsorship packages available.
