Sameer Rahman is the latest addition to Business Butler’s Advisory Board and brings a wealth of experience to support the commercial and marketing functions of the business.

With an extensive career in the fields of marketing and data Sameer has held leading positions in the financial, insurance, science and tech sectors. Specialising in utilising data to drive business and growth strategies Sameer is also a published international author and speaker on data and machine learning related topics.

There were several reasons why Sameer decided to join Business Butler in an advisory capacity, as he mentions here:

“The simplicity of Business Butler’s proposition is pretty appealing and the local aspect of helping communities by driving business growth through local expertise is especially attractive.

“I want to serve wider communities, the SMEs and the self-employed who are looking to start-up and I think Business Butler can help people looking to set up their own businesses.”

Sameer believes the application of data is vital to the growth of Business Butler and explains how he can help:

“Business Butler is in a unique place to take advantage of technologies like chat bots and machine learning to enhance the ‘talent on demand’ market and I believe I can show Business Butler the roadmap in order for them to reach their milestones and stakeholders expectations quicker.”

Founder and CEO of Business Butler, Bhupinder Sidhu is delighted to welcome Sameer onboard and recognises the importance of such an appointment:

“To acquire someone with the experience and expertise that Sameer has is undoubtedly a significant achievement for us and perfectly complements our already diverse and high calibre Advisory Board.

“We now have expertise in all the key business areas which means we are in the ideal position to grow and drive the business forward. Sameer will play an integral role in helping us to do this and achieve our strategic objectives.”

Sameer is in high demand and along with his new advisory role at Business Butler, he is currently the Director of Insight at The Royal Mint and is a serving non-executive director of Glamorgan Cricket Club, Millennium Stadium and Alliance Homes. He also served as the Chairman of Chartered Institute of Marketing in Wales until June 2020.

Business Butler has been equally productive and had to double its workforce during the lockdown due to growing demand for its services – an impressive fact considering most businesses were scaling back during the unprecedented economic downturn. Following the enforced working from home period the company has moved back to their headquarters at the Tech Hub in Swansea and taken over the whole ground floor to accommodate the new team members whilst adhering to social distancing measures.

All the hard work and effort during the past year has not gone unnoticed as Business Butler has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Digital Start-Up category at the prestigious Wales Start-Up Awards 2020,  with the winners to be announced later this month.
