Specialist wealth management and financial planning firm Brewin Dolphin has appointed Cardiff-based PR agency Petersens PR to raise the profile of the firm in Wales. The appointment was made following a competitive tender process which asked a number of agencies to present a bespoke 12 month programme of PR & social media activity.
With a history dating back more than 250 years, Brewin Dolphin is now one of the largest independently owned private client wealth managers in the UK. With a focus on personal service, the company operates three distinct service areas – private client financial planning advice, investment management services to the financial adviser community and specialist charity investment management.
Founded in 2003 by Rob Petersen, Petersens is a small successful agency offering a number of key services including public relations, marketing, social media and event management. Brewin Dolphin is the latest addition to the firm’s client list, which includes Cardiff’s only 5 star hotel The St David’s Hotel & Spa, kitchen, house builders Redrow Homes and Llanmoor Homes and technology group Inspiretec.
David Myrddin-Evans, Head of Brewin Dolphin in Wales said:
“We are delighted to announce that we will be working with Petersens PR over the next year. The team really impressed us with their enthusiasm and ideas for building on our brand and capitalising on the numerous initiatives we are involved with.
“We know that we have a lot of strong stories to tell from right across the business and we feel that Petersens PR will be the perfect partner to help us communicate these.”
Managing Director of Petersens PR, Rob Petersen said:
“We are delighted to have been selected by Brewin Dolphin as their appointed PR agency. The firm has an excellent reputation as one of the leading wealth management companies in the UK and there is a huge amount of specialist knowledge across the business which will offer relevant insight and comment to a range of publications. The firm also has a significant Corporate Social Responsibility programme and we are excited to communicate some of the interesting work they are doing in, and for communities across Wales.
“We will work as Brewin Dolphin’s communications partner and support their ongoing business growth plans. This will include increasing positive brand presence online. Increasingly, our clients are seeking support to raise awareness of their business not only through traditional press, but online and through social channels. Over a number of years, we have invested in social media and digital expertise within the agency as it plays such a critical role within today’s PR mix. We offer seamless PR & Social services to a number of clients and are very pleased to be able to offer this integrated service to Brewin Dolphin.”
