Five new lecture posts in subjects Pharmacy, Medicine and Healthcare Sciences

Cardiff is set to receive funding from Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol for yet more Welsh-medium lecturers.

Coleg, which works to ensure more study opportunities for Welsh medium students, will invest in teaching positions for Pharmacy, Medicine and Healthcare Sciences.

Wyn Davies from Neath, who is also a leading member of Only Men Aloud, will be one of those teaching Pharmacy through the medium of Welsh at the University, and is looking forward to returning to the university where he himself studied:

‘‘Welsh medium provision and service within pharmacy has been close to my heart since I graduated. Returning to Cardiff University to lecture under the auspices of the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol will provide me with an opportunity to ensure that Welsh medium provision is an integral part of the health system.’’
