A purpose-led organisation, Good Energy was established in 1999 with a clear mission: to power the choice of a cleaner, greener future together. It supplies 100% renewable electricity to thousands of businesses, organisations and households across the UK.
Using only renewable sources to generate the power for its customers, Good Energy owns two wind farms and seven solar farms, including Brynwhilach Solar Farm in South Wales. They also work with a community of over 1,400 independent renewable generators across the country harnessing local, natural sources like sunshine, wind, rain and biofuels. This network means that Good Energy’s customers are on average fewer than four miles from their nearest renewable generator, keeping energy and money within their local community. Business customers can even choose the source of their electricity, using Good Energy’s peer-to-peer platform, Selectricity.
Clean technologies, like battery storage and electric vehicles, are a strategic focus for Good Energy. They are currently working with partners to pilot initiatives in these areas; and will bring propositions to business customers in 2018.
