Cardiff Airport is the national airport for Wales, welcoming over 1.4 million passengers annually. 18 airlines currently operate out of Cardiff including KLM, Flybe, Ryanair, Vueling and Thomson.
Over 50 direct destinations are available with a further 900+ connections accessible via hubs including Amsterdam Schiphol, Barcelona and Dublin. Qatar Airways announced that it will begin operating a direct service from Cardiff to Hammad International Airport in Doha from 2018, opening up Wales and the South West to a wealth of destinations across Australia, Africa, Asia and beyond.
Since its purchase by the Welsh Government in 2013, Cardiff Airport has undergone significant improvements to enhance its surrounding infrastructure and the customer experience, including refurbishments to the terminal’s departure lounge; plus the addition of new airlines and destinations.
