Following an announcement last month that it had acquired over eight acres of land in the village of Rhuddlan, Macbryde Homes today confirmed that its application for 99 homes to be built on the site had been approved by Denbighshire County Council.  Macbryde Homes will commence on site on the construction of 48 of homes later this Spring.  The remaining homes are due to be built by Anwyl Homes.

Managing Director of Macbryde Homes, Gwyn Jones, said:

“The need for quality homes that appeal to families across Denbighshire is acute and we’re delighted to have today received this news.  Whilst the land had already been ear-marked for residential development, there is never total certainty that things will go your way until the decision is finally confirmed.

“Following so soon after our announcement that we’d be moving forward with a development in nearby Dyserth, today’s news really adds weight to our vision for expanding our output across North Wales.”

The properties to be built by Macbryde Homes, which will sit adjacent to the Tirionfa development and near to the Rhuddlan Golf Club, will be comprised of a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties and have been designed to both complement and enhance the local environment.

Gwyn Jones concludes:

“Sites of this quality aren’t as plentiful as we’d like them to be, so we were delighted to successfully acquire this sought-after location.

“We anticipate that these homes will particularly appeal to first time buyers, young professionals and growing families and look forward to welcoming those purchasers to Rhuddlan, as our work progresses.”
