Life sciences start-up/early stage businesses in Wales could receive a financial boost from ‘angel investors’ keen to cash in on an attractive and growing sector, according to a leading investor.
Anthony Clarke, CEO of Angel Capital Group, which incorporates London Business Angels, will tell an audience of entrepreneurs in Cardiff next week that the sector can be “highly desirable”.
Mr Clarke is due to speak at the Funding and Finance Conference at the Life Sciences Hub Wales in Cardiff Bay on Tuesday (19 April).
The event will look at funding and finance in the growing life sciences sector, which is worth around £2 billion a year to the Welsh economy.
Mr Clarke will take the audience through the process of how to raise angel money based on his personal experiences over the last 20 years.
