Have you got the nerve to set your hand on fire or sit on a seat of nails? Tickets are on sale now for Techniquest’s latest 18+ After Hours event, Creepy Carnival, on 24th October 2019.

Sponsored by Admiral, Techniquest’s After Hours: Creepy Carnival is set to tick all boxes for a spooky monster mash that will certainly ‘lift spirits’ this Halloween.

Guests can get hands-on with two floors of exhibits, with a free glass of Prosecco on arrival, as well as street food catering and a fully licensed bar.

On the night, guests are in for a treat (not a trick!) with a carnival extravaganza featuring performances from The Cardiff Cabaret Club, starring Diva Hollywood, GiGi Sextone and FooFooLaBelle, to include whip cracking, a killer clown and fantastic beasts.

Guests will also be able to test their knowledge on Halloween, Day of the Dead and horror films in the creepy quiz zone, or attend the Science of Fear dome show to get their thrills and chills.

Techniquest’s events manager, Gareth McTiffin, said:

“The success of our Admiral After Hours events in attracting a new audience to Techniquest has lead us to develop our offering further. While traditionally we have been a venue for young families, we are continually adding to our offering to attract a broader demographic.”

Lesley Kirkpatrick, CEO of Techniquest, said:

“While Techniquest is a much-loved institution in Wales, we are still often seen as a venue for young families. Through the work we are undertaking with our Science Capital project, we hope to change perceptions and attract a much wider audience to enjoy our fantastic venue and inspiring content.”

This new event follows a successful summer line-up, which included a silent disco via HUSH Collective and a retro gaming exhibition, as part of Techniquest’s bid to diversify its audience and bring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to the masses.
