Admiral St David Welcomes New Food and Beverage Manager

A new food and beverage manager is set to serve up success at Cardiff’s latest restaurant The Admiral St David.

Adam Giles, who has 13 years’ experience across the UK’s hospitality industry, has been appointed to the position at the newly launched Australasian eatery in Cardiff Bay.

In his new role Mr Giles, who has previously worked at restaurant’s including Steak of the Art and Restaurant James Sommerin, says his aim is to create an unparalleled dining experience featuring five-star hospitality and service.

His appointment comes just weeks after the restaurant, which is based at the five star St David’s Hotel, officially launched, combining a blend of Australasian and Asia-Pacific influences with the freshest Welsh produce.

Mr Giles said that its “unique flavours and stunning views over Cardiff Bay” will put the restaurant on the fast track to becoming one of the top three in the city.

He said:

“The Admiral St David offers something completely different to the Welsh restaurant scene, which is a prospect that really excites me.

“I have worked across the UK’s hospitality industry for a number of years and I think this innovative new concept will take the restaurant from strength to strength.

“I’m really looking forward to playing a vital role in its progression and drawing on my expertise to enhance the service the Admiral St David provides.

“My aim now, is to ensure that our guests receive a five-star dining experience which keeps them coming back time and time again, and to position The Admiral St David as one of the top three in the city.

“We are already planning a number of exciting events and experiences for 2018, so watch this space!”

General manager Russell Durnell said they were thrilled welcome Adam aboard.

He said:
