Showcasing the Best of Welsh Business

Action for Children Charity Pop Quiz Hosted by BBC Radio Wales Presenter

Big-voiced BBC Radio Wales Presenter, Wynne Evans, will host a charity pop quiz in Swansea, specially for business teams, in aid of Action for Children.

Never Mind the Business heads to Swansea University’s Great Hall on Friday 13 October,  with live music, pop teasers and an evening of fundraising fun.

This is the first time Action for Children has brought this event to Swansea and to Wales, and the evening will gives businesses across the region the chance to put their pop music knowledge to the test, while enjoying live music from James Williams, and raising money for disadvantaged children and young people.

This is a relaxed corporate night and there will be a strict jeans and t-shirt only dress code where guests will enjoy a bottled beer reception, three-course meal, live entertainment and the main event.

Former Welsh rugby international, Paul Thorburn, who is also a reresentative of Swansea law firm DJM Law (Douglas Jones Mercer) and chairman of the Never Mind the Business committee, said:

“As a proud Swansea firm, Douglas Jones Mercer is delighted to be the main sponsor of this event, working with our other key sponsor, Antur Insurance, to put on this great event.

“We’re looking forward to an entertaining night of live music and quiz chaos where having fun and raising as much money for Action for Children and the children and young people in our communities who need it most is the name of the game.”

Nina Rice, fundraiser for Action for Children in Wales, added:

“Never Mind the Business is a great opportunity for friends and colleagues to let their hair down and put their music knowledge to the ultimate test – all while raising money for an amazing cause.”

The Never Mind the Business events have raised £1.5m since their inception in 2004, with the money making a real difference to disadvantaged children and young people.
