Leading specialist recruiter Acorn is celebrating a double win for a second year, after recruiter Kristy Potter picked up an unprecedented second pair of awards at the prestigious Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) Awards.
Specialist recruiter Kristy was first crowned Permanent Consultant of the Year in 2017, where she also picked up the ‘winners of winners’ Recruiter of the Year award. In an unprecedented move, she has been awarded the same two awards in 2018 making history for both Acorn and the IRP Awards, following an even stronger year.
Having worked for Acorn for eight years, Kristy has consistently demonstrated passion and commitment to everyone she works with. Described as honest, passionate and determined, she instantly impresses everyone she meets and as a result has now been recognised as the best recruitment consultant in the UK for both 2017 and 2018.
Speaking about the award, Kristy said:
“I was absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the UK’s Permanent Consultant of the Year and Recruiter of the Year in 2017, and to have been awarded the same in 2018 is just incredible.
“Working within the recruitment industry is my passion; people trust me to find and match them to a company who will have a huge impact in their future for the next five, ten, even twenty years, so the least I can do is commit myself to finding them the best opportunity available. To be recognised for my work in this way is just amazing.”
Acorn divisional manager Noel Hoare said:
“We’re absolutely delighted for Kristy. She is an outstanding member of the Acorn Group, who has shown great commitment to both her team and to Acorn, and her dedication to her clients and candidates is outstanding.
“I can say personally that she is without doubt the most impressive recruiter I have worked with during my 20 years within the recruitment industry.”
Acorn prides itself on providing specialist recruitment support and an elite executive search service to businesses and job seekers all over the country. These latest awards end a tremendous year for Acorn, who have continued to expand their offering across the UK this year. Acorn’s marketing team were the winners of Best Recruitment Agency marketing Team at the Recruiter Awards in May, with Group Marketing Director Dan Langford also being awarded a special recognition award from the Welsh Institute of Directors in the same week for his work on Wales Week in London.
Matt Southall, Group Managing Director said:
“This is fantastic news for Kristy and everyone at Acorn. Our staff constantly go above and beyond to ensure that our customers and clients have the best possible recruitment experience, and to see this recognised with a second double win is amazing.”
“From one branch launched 26 years ago, to over 40 branches and onsite support offices throughout the UK, I couldn’t be prouder of how far we have come, and it’s thanks to the commitment and loyalty of every single employee.”
Winning an IRP Award is the most impressive industry recognition a recruiter or recruitment company can achieve, and the awards are unique in raising awareness of positive industry role models who value candidate care and client relations.
