Description

This year marks the 10th anniversary of one of Wales’ most innovative jobs and training projects – the Can Do Toolkits, developed by the i2i project.

Over the last decade this approach has changed the way housing organisations work with their tenants, investing over £4billion in our communities and creating thousands of jobs and apprenticeships.

We have only scratched the surface. If this approach was extended across all public investment we could create tens of thousands of jobs and invest billions more in our most disadvantaged communities. Already work is underway with Universities and Health Boards to take the Can Do Toolkits to the next level – let's see what more can be achieved.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Lee Waters AM – Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport
  • Sophie Howe – Future Generations Commissioner for Wales
  • Kellie Beirne – Director of the Cardiff Capital Region City Deal
  • Professor Leighton Andrews – former regeneration Minister who commissioned the toolkits
  • Professor Kevin Morgan – Cardiff University and champion of a Can Do Toolkit approach across government
