Description

With Scientists issuing a final warning to save the world from ‘Climate Catastrophe’ in a special report issued by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2018, the future of our planet is looking increasingly uncertain. News of a rising tide of plastic pollution, increasing sea levels, shrinking coral reefs, the extinction of species, homes, habits and land….so what are we doing about it, and how can individuals and organisations play their part in the solution?

Come and join us on World Environment Day 2019 at The Waterfront Museum to find out about the funding that is available to support collaborative research and development and some of the measures your organisation can take to become more sustainable. Opportunities to network and pitch your business’ environmental challenges.

Hear how scientists at Swansea University are collaborating with partners across the world on a range of research, from understanding the scale and effects of climate change through to developing new technologies and solutions to support a more sustainable future. From understanding the effects and scale of climate change to developing sustainable homes that can power themselves, technologies to turn plastics in to hydrogen fuel for cars and to store solar energy and mitigate CO2 emissions.

Open to all and free to attend.
