Description
Transport for Wales is a not for profit company, wholly owned by Welsh Government.

It exists to drive forward the Welsh Government's vision of a high quality, safe, integrated, affordable and accessible transport network that the people of Wales are proud of.

They are creating a transport network fit for the future: have £200 million for investment in improved works across rail service stations which means that 421 new vehicles will replace the current rolling stock with the first “cascades” in 2019 and due for completion in 2023. The fleet average age for rolling stock will drop from 25 years today to 7 by 2023. They are also striving for an integrated bus and rail service strategy.

We are pleased to be holding this Breakfast Meeting with North Wales Business Club (NWBC) who will be providing a complimentary breakfast buffet of toast, baps, coffee and juice which will be served promptly at 8am with speakers commencing at 8.20am. Welcoming members from both the Business Club, IoD North Wales and FSB North Wales.

Transport For Wales will be holding a supply chain event in North Wales later in the year, with £150 million of contracts to be competed for. This event will be of particular interest to those of our members who consider they may have something to offer.

The breakfast meeting will provide an insight into those possibilities.

North Wales will benefit not only from improved rail services but also from supply contracts. Transport for Wales proposals have a significant importance to most businesses and residents in North Wales and I'm sure our Members will be keen to ask questions.
