2wish Ambassadors Celebrate the Official Opening of the Charity’s New Office

Ambassadors, supporters, staff, and volunteers of bereavement charity 2wish came together to celebrate the official opening of its new offices in Ynysmaerdy, Llantrisant.

Guests were invited to tour the new spacious building on Sterling Drive, which reflects the charity’s continued growth and commitment to families, professionals and communities across Wales who have been affected by the sudden loss of a child of a young person.

Rhian Mannings, CEO and founder of 2wish, said:

“It was so lovely to be able to celebrate this brand-new chapter for the charity with the people who have helped make a difference over the years.

“This new space will allow us to do even more for families who are facing unimaginable grief. We’re so proud of everything 2wish has achieved so far and are very much looking forward to all the exciting future expansion plans we have in place.”

2wish ambassador Vicky Rees added:

“It was such a lovely event, and it’s always special to get the opportunity shine a light on a charity that makes so much difference to so many people.

“The new building is beautiful and full of heart – just like the 2wish team.”

The new spacious office includes a dedicated family room – a peaceful, safe space for individuals and families to gather their thoughts, find solace, and honour the memory of their loved ones. This room forms a core part of 2wish’s ethos of compassion and care, putting grieving families at the heart of everything they do.

The office also offers increased space and accessibility and features a tranquil landscaped garden designed to provide comfort and calm to those who are navigating some of the most difficult times in their lives. This outdoor area serves as a quiet haven where visitors can take a moment to breathe, reflect, and remember.

The move to the new premises is part of 2wish’s ongoing mission to provide support to families affected by the sudden death of a child or young person. Last year the charity launched its services across counties on the Wales/England border and has plans to further expand its services in England later this year.

The charity offers a wide range of practical and emotional services, including crisis support, counselling, and peer-led support groups, guiding families through one of life’s most heartbreaking journeys.
