Description

An initial meeting for organisations interested in helping to form a Community Rail Partnership for South West Wales.

Passionate about promoting more rail travel across South West Wales, and connecting our tourism, business and well-being sectors across the region?

In partnership with Transport for Wales, 4theRegion is delighted to announce that we're setting up a Community Rail Partnership for South West Wales, to engage businesses and residents across the region around the rail network!

We want train stations to serve communities better, as business and well-being hubs. We want to connect our regional economy by promoting more rail travel and business around the network. We want to help build the case for more investment in our rail infrastructure. And we want to build our regional brand as a rail destination for visitors without a car, promoting our world-class tourism offer, connecting with tourism businesses around train stations and launching joint marketing initiatives across county lines.

If your organisation is interested in hearing more and contributing your ideas into the formation of this partnership at the outset of the journey, or potentially interested in being one of the partners, then please join us on 24th January at the new 4theRegion Hub at Swansea Train Station for a co-creative discussion. There will be further events to involve members of the community and rail users in the conversation.

Friday 24th January, 12-3pm

We'll be asking… What potential do you see for promoting more rail travel in our region? What would you like to see the new CRP do – for residents, businesses and communities? And how would your organisation like to be involved?

Please RSVP to confirm the names and positions of colleagues who would like to attend on the day. And if you wish to suggest other people or organisations that you think we could invite, please do!
