Showcasing the Best of Welsh Business

16th December – Cardiff
Networking for Event Organisers

The new networking event for those working in the event industry in South Wales

Following the success of last month’s first-ever Event Organisers Wales event, we hope you will join us for our festive event this December in the University of South Wales’s Cardiff Campus.

Thanks to Genero (our sponsors this month), we’ll be toasting the festive season with mulled wine, mince pies, beers and bubbly.

Genero are a one-stop-shop for all things event production, including set and stage, exhibitions, audio-visual, multimedia, event management and venue finding.

And the stars of the show will be the founders of Wales Week London and Wales Week Worldwide, Dan Langford and Mike Jordan, who will talk through how the annual programme of events, now entering its fourth year, was developed and continues to grow.

They will cover all aspects of their experience of running such a broad events programme including dealing with:

– large number of different event organisers

– branding, communications and creating noise

– official sponsors and partners

– political, commercial, cultural stakeholders and audiences

– doing so in their ‘spare time'(!)

Wales Week now runs simultaneously in up to 25 different locations around the world, as well as in London – and so Dan and Mike will also talk through the opportunities for Welsh organisations thinking about getting involved. /

These networking events, run by the University of South Wales Conference & Events team and hosted by Mariclare Carey-Jones will serve as a space for anyone working in the event industry to come together, discuss their challenges and share knowledge – and, for once, leave their event organiser hats at the door!

Each meet-up will tackle specific topics and include valuable insights from industry experts, like this month’s topic: ‘Putting Wales & Welsh events on the global stage’.

We look forward to welcoming you!
