We’re proud to introduce and welcome you to the Event Organisers Wales (EOW), a new meet-up created by the University of South Wales’ very own conference and events manager, Katrina Cinus.
Having created and championed countless networking groups for other sectors, Katrina realised her own industry was lacking a similar opportunity, and so decided to launch EOW.
This new networking event will serve as a space for anyone working in the event industry to come together, discuss their challenges and share knowledge – and, for once, leave their event organiser hats at the door!
Each meet-up will tackle specific topics and include valuable insights from industry experts, beginning with this month’s topic: ‘Overcoming event industry challenges’.
If you’re worried about shrinking budgets and sourcing sponsors, or are losing sleep over promoting your event and attracting new audiences (and just about everything in between), then the EOW events just might save your day.
And fear not, you’ll be in safe hands! Leading the discussion as the first ever EOW speakers, we’re proud to welcome:
Dan Tyte – Managing Director at Working Word Public Relations.
Hot off the heels of running the Homeless World Cup in Cardiff this summer, Dan knows all too well the trials and tribulations that come with pulling off an all-star event and will be talking about the challenges of attracting new audiences.
Geraint Hardy – TV, Radio & Corporate presenter
Talent agent and Director of 218 Events. Geraint will chat about his work in the event industry from all angles and touch upon some of the challenges he’s faced.
So, for once, why not enjoy an event created just for you and your peers? We’ve already received lots of interest and tickets are expected to fly out the door, so make sure to book your place today!
In the meantime, pencil the below details into your diary and look forward to the first (of many) EOW networking events. We can’t wait to meet you there!
