Social Business Wales is on a mission to bring social businesses closer to social funders and investors. We are organising two ‘Meet your Social Investor’ events in June to give you the opportunity to network with different funders and investors to discover what support they can offer your business. This is your chance to explore a mixture of funding options from debt or equity finance to grants to community shares from a range of lenders experienced in supporting our sector.
We’re offering two key relationship building activities to help you source relevant finance and investment:
- Bookable 20-minute meetings with social funders and investors to discuss your business finance requirements (appointment booking invitations will be emailed to you in May)
- A light buffet lunch and networking galore where our business advisors will also be available.

This event is aimed at Social Businesses (social enterprises, co-operatives, mutual, employee owned businesses) and charities.
Our research consistently shows that access to finance is a major barrier to growth and sustainability of social businesses, with the sector witnessing a drastic reduction in the availability of grants, and competition for funding red hot.
