Swansea Bay Business Club’s lunch at the end of June was another resounding success as the club continues its expansion to West Wales.
Businesses from across Swansea Bay and Carmarthen were in attendance, at the Halliwell Centre in Carmarthen, as AMCANU Managing Director, Owain Davies, spoke to guests at length about ‘Positive Business Culture’ and how the right attitude and mind-set can set your business on the path to success. LHP Chartered Accountants and Morgan La Roche Solicitors sponsored the event.
President of Swansea Bay Business Club, Hayley Davies, said:
“We were delighted to return to West Wales for our June lunch and enjoyed another brilliant afternoon of networking at the Halliwell Centre. Having a local and successful businessman like Owain address our guests was a fantastic way to welcome businesses from further West as we continue with our aim of expanding Swansea Bay Business Club.”
“We can now look forward to our next networking event as we venture East to the Margam Orangery for our July lunch.”
Secretary of State for Wales, Alun Cairns MP, will join guests at the Margam Orangery on July 14th. Acorn Executive Search will sponsor the event.
Alun was first elected as an Assembly Member in 1999 after beginning his career working for Lloyds TSB. He was made Member of Parliament for the Vale of Glamorgan in May 2010 and became the Secretary of State for Wales in March 2016, overseeing the passing of legislation that is only for Wales and ensuring Welsh interests are taken into account by Government.
The Conservative MP will be discussing the fall-out from his party’s win at the recent general election, as well as the other major issues in British politics like Brexit and its impact on Welsh businesses.
Tickets for Swansea Bay Business Club’s July lunch with Alun Cairns MP are £25 for members and £30.50 for non-members. This will include a two-course lunch as well as a sponsored drinks reception on arrival, courtesy of Contract Services Group.
