The Wales Start-Up Awards will recognise the outstanding achievements of start-ups in the Welsh economy.
New businesses are the lifeblood of any growing economy. They create innovation, vitality and, most importantly, jobs in local communities.
With research showing that new firms create the majority of employment in any economy, they can make the real difference in improving prosperity across Wales.
However, many of those who spot the opportunity and take the risks to launch a new product or service are often the unsung heroes of the business community. That is why the Wales Start-Up Awards launched last year to recognise the achievements of these entrepreneurial individuals and their new ventures.
The Wales Start-Up awards is different to many others in Wales. It gets away from the usual black tie approach to business awards and is held in an informal setting at the award-winning Depot in Cardiff, an entrepreneurial start-up business where street food and craft beer from Welsh enterprise will be served to those attending.
More importantly, this will be an award ceremony in Wales that is exclusive to start-ups only and will focus on celebrating their success across the economy.
Where: Depot, Cardiff
When: 15th September 2017
The awards will be open for applications April 2017 at http://www.walesstartupawards.com/
