Visit Wales legendary EPIC sign is back in time to celebrate EPIC EASTER, making its first appearance of the year at Margam Country Park.
The EPIC sign is starting its second tour of Wales at Margam Country Park with a new ‘legendary’ theme to celebrate the 2017 Visit Wales Year of Legends.
The Year of Legends celebrates everything that is legendary about Wales, from traditional mythical stories to modern day legendary people, like Port Talbot’s very own Richard Burton.
EPIC will be at Margam Country Park from Tuesday 11th April to Monday 1st May 2017. To plan your visit, check out the Park’s opening times and come ready with a fully charged camera to take lots of photographs and videos. Don’t forget to share those EPIC selfies on social media. Use #FindYourEpic and #NeathPortTalbot, so that everyone else can join in the fun too!
This year the innovative EPIC sign has undergone a makeover to reflect the Year of Legends theme. The 11m x 4m EPIC sign now shows illustrations of Wales’ most popular and well known legends. The EPIC sign also includes a QR code, which links directly to Visit Wales’ recent film campaign, which features the famous Welsh actor Luke Evans.
Margam Country Park’s Manager, Michael Wynne, said:
“We are delighted to be welcoming the Visit Wales EPIC sign as part of the Year of Legends campaign, especially as the Park is legendary in its own right, with its magnificent historic buildings and gardens. This is an excellent start to the season”
There are plenty of legendary activities and tours in the Park during the Easter holidays. The Park welcomes ‘The Cavalry of Heroes’ for Easter Monday. Come along and cheer on your favourite Knight or even boo the infamous Lord Pendragon, the Dark Knight! There will be great performances from stunning horses and experienced horse riders. Please note that admission charges apply to Bank Holiday Monday events in April and May.
