With just a month ago to the glittering ceremony at which this year’s Monmouthshire Business Awards winners will be announced, businesses have been urged to make sure they book tickets for the event.

This year’s bigger and better awards attracted a threefold increase in entries after they were expanded to cover the ‘old Monmouthshire’ – towns and cities that were part of the county prior to 1965.

The ‘back to the future’ approached opened the awards to entries from businesses beyond the current Monmouthshire county to Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran, Ebbw Vale and Caerphilly.

Award winners will be revealed at a gala dinner and ceremony at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on October 6, hosted by broadcaster Hywel James.

MBA founder and director Janet Harris said:

“The significant increase in entries this year means the demand for tickets to the gala dinner is higher than ever.

“I would urge finalists to ensure they book their tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

“The gala dinner is also open to non-finalists and to businesses in general. It is a superb networking event and we would hope to see many businesses taking advantage of the opportunity.”

Finalists can purchase tickets for the presentation evening and gala dinner via the awards website www.monbizawards.co.uk .

MBA category sponsors are: Hello Starling, Coleg Gwent, A2Z Computing, Business In Focus, Y Prentis, Monmouthshire Housing Association, Hicks Logistics, Celtic Manor Resort, Reid Lifting and Spectrum.
