Leading Welsh technology company Circle IT has seen its financial year end on a high with its annual turnover reaching £10.8million, representing a 375 % growth during the past five years.
Wales-based clients including Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cardiff & Vale College, Rhondda Housing Association and Cowbridge Comprehensive School are just some of the organisations that have helped the multi-award winning organisation achieve an impressive 20 per cent growth during the last year. National contract wins have recently included the University of Dundee, Harrison Clark Rickerby’s and UKTV, home of the Dave and Gold television channels.
The financial success coincided with a number of award wins and nominations including the Employee Engagement Award for Project of the Year and Circle IT’s CEO and founder, Roger Harry, being shortlisted as Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2016 Cardiff Business Awards in recognition of his business accomplishments. During 2016 Circle IT also won the prestigious DellEMC Network Partner of The Year for the second-year running.
During January last year Cardiff Gate-based Circle IT also won Europe’s largest ever DellEMC networking deal to transform the IT infrastructure across the entire estate at the University of Dundee. One of the UK’s leading Universities and home to more than 17,000 students and 3,000 staff, the multimillion pound contract saw Circle IT replace the entire wired and wireless networks as well as its firewall security infrastructure to support the University in driving improvements for both staff and students.
Circle IT CEO Roger Harry said:
“We’ve had a fantastic year – not only have we grown the business considerably using a pool of local talent – we’ve continued to cement our position as one of the leading technology businesses with some key wins in great sectors including education, law and media.
“I am incredibly proud of how successful the business has become and it is testament to the collective talent and hard work of our colleagues. We continue to invest heavily in our staff and this last year has seen a large number of internal promotions as well as continuing to work to attract the highest calibre of talent to the business. We’ve recently launched our graduate programme and now employ seven graduates as well as a number of apprentices – all of which are from the local area.”
“We’ve started 2017 in a strong position and will continue to be bold with our ambitious growth plans. We’re looking to emulate the success of this past year with further growth in our key sectors.”
