Business News Wales interviews Sarah about her role within Orchard Media, business Planes for the future and her thoughts on running a successful business.
Can you give our readers a little background into yourself and your role within Orchard Media and Events?
I am the Account Manager for Events, Exhibitions and AV. My job roles varies, from planning/working onsite at Events, Marketing/Sales, running our Destination Management and overall Account Management across the department.
We are a full-service agency that provides a large range of Products and Services. These range from Media Planning and Buying, Entertainment, Events, Marketing, Audio Visual, PR, TV and Film Production, Design, Exhibitions, Aerial Filming, Orchard360 and Destination Management.
One new service which has recently launched, is a free worldwide venue finding service. Through our complimentary and intuitive international database and professional connections, we can now offer access to over 200,000 destinations worldwide including hotels, restaurants, meetings paces and special event venues.
What are your plans for the next five years, and where do you see your challenges and opportunities?
We have recently moved to a new office on Trade Street, Cardiff, as the business is growing rapidly. The office itself has a large space with a lot of character, it’s got a great feel to it with some very quirky features. After a few client interests, we have started utilising this space and hiring this to clients for staff meetings, Parties, lectures. The next five years is very exciting for us, we see ourselves expanding largely, with new services to offer and an expansion of staff. We are constantly working with new clients and we feel that more people are understanding what we actually do in-house (Yes – It’s a lot).The main challenges we could possibly face is the impact of Brexit, but this is something that all businesses in Wales have raised as a concern for the future.
