An IT and communication company based in Swansea has helped a branch of the RSPCA by saving it a substantial amount of its vital funds through an offering that sees them not having to pay for IT systems, which play a key part to its functioning.

Llys Nini Animal Centre has received the help from SA1 Solutions, which has provided the charity with a Microsoft Office 365 Non-profits plan. The plan effectively offers a free mail server with online cloud storage, corporate social networking, instant messaging (IM), intranet and video conferencing capabilities via Skype.

Llys Nini, located in Penllergaer, is an independently registered charity affiliated to the RSPCA but is not funded by the organisation. The Non-profits plan provided by SA1 Solutions has therefore enabled the charity to save a considerable amount of money on IT and communication services, allowing more funds to be spent on the welfare of the thousands of animals it cares for each year.

SA1 Solutions provides Microsoft Office 365 Non-profit plans to all of its charity clients, where software and licencing is either free or significantly discounted. The company is dedicated to helping charities understand how to make the most of Microsoft Office 365 plans, helping these organisations work more efficiently and in the process, assisting them to save on time and funds.

Llys Nini provides animal welfare throughout Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend and parts of Rhondda Cynon Taf and Cardiff council areas. The Microsoft Office 365 Non-profits plan’s offerings are able to be fully integrated into most smart phones and tablets, giving users at the charity increased mobility through remote access to information.

Simon Ahearne, managing director of SA1 Solutions, commented:

“What is offered through Microsoft Office 365 is so important to self-funded charities that simply don’t have the funds for a sophisticated IT infrastructure or the time to spend trying to figure out how to use it. The software is designed for organisations that don’t have an internal IT team, so staff can easily use its features without any complications.

“The plan we’ve provided to Llys Nini, and the time we’ve spent with its team to help them understand how to make the most of its features and applications, shows our continuous commitment to providing effective IT solutions and exceptional services to our clients from all sectors.”

Gary Weeks, Animal Centre Manager, commented:

“Having the Microsoft Office 365 plan in place has really helped how we function at Llys Nini. It has helped streamline all our planning, improved our productivity and has made the day-to-day running of the animal centre so much easier.

“It’s reassuring for us to know that we have received this at no extra cost, which means we can save on the funds we require to continue to help animals in need.”

SA1 Solutions provides bespoke IT and communication packages as well as support services to small and large organisations across South West Wales, along the M4 corridor and in more recent years due to continued expansion, businesses in London. It is urging charities to upgrade to Microsoft Office 365 to reap the benefit it provides for not-for-profit organisations.
