Chwarae Teg’s #MAKEYOURSELF campaign bus has been touring Wales in an effort to encourage more women and employers to sign up to fully-funded career development programmes.
Currently, women in Wales are underrepresented in management roles compared to men at a rate of 7 per cent compared to 11 per cent. Chwarae Teg, which is supported by the Welsh Government and the European Social Fund, is delivering fully-funded career development programmes for women and employers across Wales through its Agile Nation 2 programme. The Women’s Programme supports women in work to develop their careers by delivering accredited leadership qualifications and mentoring, and the Employer’s Programme supports businesses to implement equality strategies and modern working practices.
The #MAKEYOURSELF campaign bus will be at parked on Henllys Way in Cwmbran from 12pm on 26 October and at the Pierhead in Cardiff Bay all day on 27 October. Individuals and businesses will have the opportunity to find out more about the support available and sign up to fully-funded career development programmes.
