Caerphilly Council Supports Town Centre High Streets with Pop-Up Shops

The scheme encourages local businesses and community projects to ‘choose the high street’ and try out a presence in the heart of the county borough’s town centres.  A ‘pop-up’ shop is when a short term lease, usually fewer than six months, is agreed between a landlord and tenant.

‘Pop-up’ shops can be an excellent opportunity to try out a new business idea before making a long term commitment. They can also offer community projects and charitable organisations a great way to reach a wider audience, while also helping to enhance the vibrancy and offering on the county borough’s high streets.  ‘Pop up’ shops are also beneficial to a landlord as they can generate a small rental income for the duration of the lease, and also help raise awareness of the property and its potential to future tenants.
